School years 7 + 8:
There are 2 Energize Cell groups – Energize Boys and Energize Girls.
Energize Boys meets weekly in term time on Tuesday evenings from 7.15pm to 8.45pm at The Church Centre (Kingston Road). Energize Boys is lead by James + Sam. We have a mix of indoor sports, team building games, messy challenges, drinks, snacks and solid biblical teaching. It is fast paced and in ya face. We get out and about with various trips like pitch black games down the beach, bowling or swimming at Tower Park.
Energize Girls meets weekly in term time on Tuesday evenings from 7.15pm to 8.45pm in a local family home. Energize Girls is lead by Esther and Fi. In amongst the laughs and giggles there’s some games, challenges, crafts, drinks, snacks and always great biblical teaching. We also get up to stuff like roasting marsh mallows down the beach, pizza making and Pyjama Party Movie nights.
“Energize Girls is awesome, fab, fun, creative, exciting and has great games” – The Energize girls
The vision for Energize is that young people would build a positive image of God and the Church. The main emphasis of the teaching is based around the character of God, such as Who is God? What’s he like? and What does it really mean to be a Christian? Energize is fun, high energy and game based. It provides a forum where supportive friendships can be established and pressing questions can be answered.
