Men’s Ministry

The three core values of Men’s Ministry have been chosen to reflect the mission statement of SML:

  • UP: To grow men of faith in Christ.
  • IN: To cultivate trust and accountability.
  • OUT: To share faith and serve others

The five key strands of activities will be:

  • Men’s termly breakfast with invited speaker
  • Social Event -at least once a term
  • Men’s Sporting Events
  • Men’s Triplets – Prayer triplets
  • Men’s fellowship opportunities

Three Challenges for 2012 for SML Men:

  •  Speak to everyone of your immediate work colleagues about Christ this year.
  • Get into a prayer triplet – find two other guys you trust and aim to pray with them at least once a fortnight. Be honest with each other.
  • Do something at SML – don’t wait to be asked.  If you are not already doing something at SML, find some way that you can get involved.

Net Nanny.  Let’s face it guys, many of us struggle to stay Godly when left alone with the internet.  Net Nanny is a great filtering tool that also allows you to impose your own time limits on internet use.  If you have kids, it’s a great way of protecting them too. Why not install it and give the password to another member of your prayer triplet? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Avanquest-Solutions-Licences-Net-Nanny/dp/B001KYG8QA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325521379&sr=8-1
