Worship

When so much in our lives can feel unsettled and unstable, worship plays a huge part in keeping us focused on Jesus, our Rock, our strength and deliverer.

It’s important that we come together and lift our eyes upon our Lord, bringing our worries and concerns to him, reminding ourselves and declaring once again that He is sovereign over all of our lives and situations.  Our Lord is the saviour who can move mountains, a God of great compassion and mercy, a God who knows what it’s like to be in need, to be lonely, to be left wanting.

There are only two things we yearn for in worship here at St Mary’s.

The first is this…

That we as individual worshippers and as a team give the very best we can to the Lord, we play as well as we can, we sing to the very best of our ability and ‘play skillfully to Him’ as scripture commands us to.

The second is this…

That we glorify the Lord with all our might! That our entire focus remains on the Lord and His goodness, His works, His faithfulness! I hope and pray so much that we will never become a church known for ‘good worship’ but we would be known as a church where God moves!
