Evangelism

HOTS (Healing On The Streets)

We go out onto Poole High Street and pray for people’s healing. It’s that simple! It is a prayerful, Biblical, exciting and effective way to work with God and see Him bless and minister to His people.

We are located at the Methodist church on the High Street and meet from 10am to 12pm on the 1^st and 3^rd Saturdays of every month!

Everyone who gets involved is properly trained and committed to trusting God to work in this obvious tangible way!

A: then check out Why, Alpha and Beta!

Throughout the Year we run the Why, Alpha, Beta? series of courses. These are three different ways at SML to investigate the Christian journey, whether you know nothing about God, are new to faith or simply feel you want to join a discipleship group.

First up and starting the autumn is the introductory Why? Course, followed by the Alpha Course starting in January and then the Beta course in the Summer term. Simply speaking it’s Why, Alpha, Beta!

The Why? Course

Alpha is a great course, but for many of today’s un-churched generation stepping through even the church door is all too much. We need to get out of the church building and meet people with the Gospel, finding them on their on their own ground.

The Why course is one way of doing this. It is essentially a “pre-Alpha” course, based down on Poole Quay, and asks peopel to think about the big questions of Life and how Jesus answered and still answers those questions today.

The first Why? Course starts on the 6^th of October running for 5 weeks. If you know someone this course might suit, then call SML!

The Alpha Course

An amazing course that introduces people to the basics of Christianity. At SML we run it as a follow on from our Why Course, but you don’t need to have done Why to do Alpha.

Beta Course

Beta is a natural follow on to the Alpha course. Just like Alpha, it continues meeting on a Wednesday evening and is essentially a discipleship group, where new Christians, grow their Bible knowledge, Prayer life and seek God and the lives He wants them to lead.

Other Alpha Courses: Women’s day course, Alpha for those with learning difficulties.
