Our , Michele Haynes, has considerably expanded our abilities to care for people at St Mary’s.
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour." Luke 4: 18 - 19
Vision for Pastoral Prayer Ministry We believe that God loves us unconditionally and cares for us in a real and active way. We believe He listens to our prayers and is able to answer them through the Holy Spirit by intervening and bringing healing through His redemptive work on the cross.
The Pastoral Team at St Mary’s Longfleet will provide a place for people to come and share in confidence without judgment which will enable them to receive God’s wholeness and deep healing into their lives.
The team will spend time seeking the Lord with people and through the Holy Spirit to bringing them into the freedom of abundant life that the Lord has for them, and in turn releasing them into fullness of life that will enable them to in turn bring life to others.
Pastoral Prayer Ministry This confidential ministry is offered to those who regularly worship at St Mary’s and are seeking to receive God’s wholeness and deeper healing in their lives without the time restraints of the end of service Prayer Ministry. This would usually involve an agreed number of weekly or fortnightly sessions. Trained and appointed people are available for this ministry, most of whom will have experienced a degree of healing with this method of prayer themselves.
